Briercrest Achieves 2024 End of Year Giving Target

Posted: February 25, 2025

Briercrest is thrilled to announce that it has successfully achieved its $725,000 fundraising target for the 2024 year-end giving. This milestone highlights the generous spirit of its donors and the incredible power of perseverance. While the original timeline extended slightly, the outpouring of support from Canadian and American donors demonstrated God’s perfect timing in action.

Despite logistical challenges in December, such as the Canada Post strike and delays within the United States Postal Service, Briercrest received overwhelming support. By the end of December, Canadian donors had generously contributed over $615,000, bringing the campaign to more than 80% of its target. But the story didn’t end there. American donations, totalling $263,286, arrived in early February, pushing the campaign well beyond its goal.

“God’s timing is always the best timing,” said Robert Bachman (Director of Development). "Donations from supporters continue to be a vital part of sustaining Briercrest’s mission of providing an EDUCATION THAT DISCIPLES."

While December’s giving has been remarkable, the fiscal year presents ongoing financial challenges. Currently, Briercrest is at 61% of its budgeted donation income for the year. This figure underscores the continued need for prayer and financial contributions to meet the institution's operational goals and plans.

Looking ahead, Briercrest is crafting next year's budget and acknowledges that current realities will influence upcoming choices. Donors and supporters are encouraged to remain steadfast in their prayer and partnership, helping to shape a future that upholds the ministry’s lasting impact.
