Women sweep the Queens in the weekend

The Clippers and the Queens faced off on Saturday afternoon, the outcome was a Clippers win, obtaining the weekend sweep with the score being 86-73.

Kicking off the start of the first quarter was a strong performance from both teams. It was an overall team effort on both ends and the score came down to 20-20 heading into the second quarter. In the second quarter things were looking about the same as they were in the first. High intensity action keeping it close, the Queens did pull ahead by two points to end off the first half. The score coming to 38-40 for the Queens.

Starting the third quarter was filled with more turnovers and slower play, the Clippers took advantage of this quick and pulled ahead of the Queens. Large contributor to the Clippers success was #11 Adrianna Beck with 19 points and 2 assists so far in the game. The score being 63-61 for the Clippers in this tight game.

Going into the last quarter was unfortunate for the Queens, who collapsed in the last quarter and allowed the Clippers to surge ahead. The score in the quarter was 23-12, the Clippers finished the game 86-73 winning in the last game of the season. 

Players of the game was #19 Sylvia Smith-Gatson who dominated the court for the Clippers, getting 19 points, 3 steals, 3 assists and 3 rebounds.
